Interscholastic Team:

Clarion Farm is home to the Clarion Farm Upper and Middle School IEA Teams.  The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is modeled after the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association in that the host show provides the horses and they are assigned by a random draw.  This is challenging to the riders and helps create a level playing field.  Riders are allowed 5 regular point shows per season and can qualify for Zone and National Finals both individually and as a team.  Riding is normally an individual sport and the IEA provides the riders a chance to work and compete as a team.  Riders need to be able to walk, trot and canter, but do not need to be able to jump yet.  They also do not need their own horse to participate.

Mom's Riding Group

Riding is one of the sports that you can do for a lifetime and can be your getaway from the stresses of life.  We have many moms in the barn who watch their children ride and have expressed an interest in riding again or trying it for the first time.  We have decided to put a Mom's group together.  We hope this will be a fun social event as well as an instructional lesson.  The atmosphere will be relaxed and all skill levels are welcome.  Classes will be held on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM and Sundays at 3:00 PM.  Mom's are welcome to attend any classes that they wish and there is a sign-up in the barn.

Summer Camp

Clarion Farm is offering two weeks of camp this year.  Our Pony Camp will be aimed at our younger students ages 4-9.  It will include a private or semi-private lesson each day.  Campers will also learn about the horses and how to care for them as well as horsey arts and crafts.  Our Clarion Camp week is aimed at our older students and will include a group lesson each day and will teach them the skills that they need to be a working student in the barn or an assistant groom at the shows.  We will also introduce them to our IEA team, teach them about the organization, what it takes to be a member, and what to expect at the shows.

Dates for Camp

Look for 2009 Camp Dates soon!

Camps are limited to 10 Students per session so make sure to get your applications in ASAP.
