Interscholastic Team:
Clarion Farm is home to the Clarion Farm Upper and Middle School IEA Teams. The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is modeled after the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association in that the host show provides the horses and they are assigned by a random draw. This is challenging to the riders and helps create a level playing field. Riders are allowed 5 regular point shows per season and can qualify for Zone and National Finals both individually and as a team. Riding is normally an individual sport and the IEA provides the riders a chance to work and compete as a team. Riders need to be able to walk, trot and canter, but do not need to be able to jump yet. They also do not need their own horse to participate.

Clarion Farm Summer Horsemanship Programs Our Summer Programs are geared toward students age 6 and up. No prior horse experience is necessary. Students will receive one riding lesson per day either group or private depending on their skill level. They will learn about horse behavior, nutrition, breeds and suitability to riding disciplines, basic first aid and common horse ailments, proper shoeing and types of shoes. Clinics
At Clarion Farm we never stop learning and try to enrich the learning experience of our students by bringing in clinicians that will help expand their knowledge in a variety of ways.
Wellington, Fl based Dressage Trainer, Carey Radtke, was here for a clinic last year. The horses and riders were all great and we can't wait to have her back in the Spring when things are a little warmer!
Our Sports Psychology Workshop with Doris Worcester on 1/29 was a great success. Now lets see how everyone puts their new skills to use!!!
Internship Programs
We have an internship program for our students that want to learn more about the horses and working with them. These internships are unpaid and interns receive horsemanship and riding training in the course of their internship. Please see Carly for more info and to apply for this exciting program.
Clarion Farm Equestrian Club
Clarion Farm is excited to have an Equestrian Club. The club started by our Equestrian Team is open to all of our students. We plan to participate in "horsey" activites and do some charitable work for the horse community.
